FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What time are the Sunday services?

Our main worship service starts at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. We recommend arriving about 15 minutes early to park, check in children, grab a coffee, and settle in.

2. What should I wear?

Come as you are! Most people dress casually—think jeans, shorts, or casual dresses. Just keep your attire modest, so the focus stays on worship and community, not outfits.

3. How do I get there and where should I park?

We're located at 8802 N. 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85021. You can enter from 19th Avenue or Alice Avenue. There’s ample on-campus parking, and volunteers assist with guidance and security.

4. Is there help when I arrive?

Yes! Look for anyone wearing a green or yellow nametag out front—our team there will gladly answer questions and help you feel at home.

5. What opportunities are there before the main service?

Kids (ages 0–6th grade) and students (7th–12th grade) have discipleship options starting at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays. There is also an adult discipleship class at 9:00 a.m. in fellowship hall. These are Bible study and group times tailored for age-appropriate spiritual growth.

6. How do Kids’ check-in and safety work?

Check-in for Kids’ Ministry begins at 9:00 a.m. and transitions automatically to Kids' Church at 10:15 a.m. If your kids do not participate in the Kids 9:00am Discipleship class, you can check them in before the main service at 10:15 a.m. (service begins at 10:30 a.m.). Only registered guardians can check children in or out. Volunteers undergo background checks and regular safety training.

7. What about Student Ministry?

On Sundays, Students in grades 7-12 meet for discipleship at 9:00 a.m., usually working through a book of the Bible with discussion and prayer. They then join the main service at 10:15 a.m. We also gather mid-week on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. to go deeper in our walk with Christ in community, and have fun together!

8. How long is the worship service?

The service typically lasts 65–70 minutes, featuring a mix of worship music, Scripture reading, a biblical message from one of our pastors, and the opportunity to give—if you consider Royal Palms your church home and are comfortable doing so.

9. Is there communion?

Yes, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper roughly on the second or third Sunday of each month. Anyone who has believed in Christ for salvation is warmly invited to participate.

10. What are Royal Palms’ beliefs?

Our doctrinal foundation is rooted in the Baptist Faith & Message (2000), encompassing beliefs about Scripture, the Trinity, salvation, the church, and more. See the Our Beliefs Page

11. How do newcomers get connected?
