Every Sunday we're opening the Bible together and learning from its pages in ways that speak right into our lives. In our services, our ministries, our music—in everything we do at Royal Palms Baptist Church, our aim is to bring God glory through His Son Jesus Christ.

What to Wear

At Royal Palms, we focus on the heart more than the outward appearance. When you come to one of our weekend services, you will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles from as casual as jeans or shorts, to business formal like tucked in shirts and dresses. Most people, however, dress casual.

We do ask that people wear clothing that does not draw attention to themselves. We think that what you wear to church should not detract from the worship experience of others around you. We want all of the attention to go to Jesus Christ.

How to Get there and When To Arrive

Our Address is 8802 N. 19th Avenue, Phoenix AZ 85021. You will be able to enter the property coming south on 19th avenue, or on Alice Ave. The Worship Center is the building closest to 19th Avenue entrance. GPS Directions from Google Maps or Apple Maps are reliable.

Our Sunday Morning worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. We generally recommend that people arrive about 15 minutes early. This gives plenty of time to park, get kids checked-in for Kids church, grab a cup of coffee or bottle of water, and find a seat for the service. Our services last between 65 to 70 minutes on average. We do offer discipleship opportunities 90 minutes before the service for Kids and Youth (see below).

Parking

Our property has plenty of parking on campus. The Lot begins at the main entrance on 19th avenue and extends around the property toward Alice Ave. For security purposes we will close sections of the gate around the property as determined by our safety team. A Safety team member or Parking lot team member will be available throughout the service should you need any assistance.

Connect Tent

In front of our Main Entrance there is a tent where one of our team members will be. They will help answer any questions for our guests. It will also provide a place to connect with leaders from our church. This is a great initial step for anyone to learn more about Royal Palms Baptist Church. Please stop by the Connect Tent when you visit our church, we would love to say hello!

Kids’s Discipleship

We have several options for Children’s Discipleship on Sunday Mornings. At 9 a.m. (90 minutes before our Sunday Worship Service) we offer Kids Discipleship. This is available to kids from ages 0 years old all the way to 6th grade. If you would like your children to participate in this on Sunday mornings at 9am, feel free to get them checked in at 9am. However, we do ask that you remain on the property while they are checked in.

At 10:15 a.m. they will be automatically transferred to Kids church (located in the same building). A parent or guardian who is registered with our check-in system are the only people who will be able to check in or check out a child from kids church or pre-service discipleship. Under no circumstances will anyone not listed be allowed to talk to or check in/out a child from the Kids area.

All of our volunteers for Kids church or for Sunday Pre-service discipleship undergo a background check and our regularly trained on maintaining safety protocols while your kids are in our care.

If you have any questions please contact our Kids ministry director, Jackie Fry.

Student’s Discipleship

We offer Student Ministry discipleship at 9 a.m. on Sunday mornings for students from 7th grade to 12th grade. Typically we will be working through a book of the Bible and spending time discussing its relevant applications for our lives. This time will conclude with prayer and students will be dismissed to regular service at 10:15 a.m. Students in 7th to 12th grade participate in the Sunday Morning Worship service with the rest of the congregation.

Contact our Student Ministry Directors, Scott and Ivy Weesner with any questions.

Order of Service

Generally speaking, our service begins with worship, led by a band. Most people stand during this time, however, there is complete freedom to be seated if you prefer. The words of all of the songs are projected onto screens at the front. Our hope is that you'll hear songs you know or can relate to, while working to make sure our lyrics are scripturally true and honor our Savior.

Like most churches, we take an offering in our service. If you are a guest, please do not feel obligated to participate in the offering. This is intended for our regular attendees who consider Royal Palms their church home.

We regularly take communion (typically on the second or third Sunday of the month) and encourage weekly attenders to only take communion if you are a Christian.

Each week one of our Pastors will preach a biblical message, sometimes topical in theme, but always expositionally. We believe the Word is the single most applicable source for any life application and trust that it is crucial and beneficial in our daily lives.

We hope you find your church home here at Royal Palms! If you have any additional questions please feel free to email office@royalpalms.org
